As part of efforts aimed at improving the nation’s arts and cultural heritage, Nike Arts is set to commission a new gallery in Abuja. Addressing journalists in Lagos, last week, Chief Nike Okundaye’s husband, Chief Reuben Okundaye, said the gallery would be open on March 28, 2023, at 10.00am.
Okundaye said the Abuja Gallery is going to be massive and one of the best in the country, adding, a lot of dignitaries will grace the event. He said art provides therapeutic value, decorative value and it is also good for investment purposes.
According to him, “in 2000, we went to Abuja and approached government to give us a land to build a cultural centre for Nike Art Foundation, which they graciously granted and allocated.
