Citi’s global head of FX to depart

Stuart Staley, Citi’s global head of foreign exchange, will leave the US bank next month, according to an internal memo seen by FX Markets.

Staley, who has worked with Citi for 19 years, assumed the role of global co-head of FX in March last year, having relocated from Singapore to New York. He had previously led its Asia markets business for four years, overseeing its regional strategy.

He then became its sole global head of FX, following the departure of Itay Tuchman – who had led the division for five years – in August.

According to the memo, Staley will announce an interim global head of FX within the next couple of weeks while a more permanent replacement is found.
