The Minister of State for Defence, Bello Muhammad Matawalle, has applauded the recent interception of 15,540 litres of petrol stored along Badagry Creek in Lagos by the Nigerian Navy.
Matawalle also commended the Navy for defending the nation’s territorial waters.
The minister was speaking shortly after gracing the Nigerian Navy Regimental Dinner Night, at the Armed Forces Officers’ Mess, at the weekend.
According to him, “the recent interception of 15,540 litres of petrol stored in a building along Badagry creeks, by the Forward Operating Base (FOB) of the Nigerian Navy in Badagry, Lagos State, was highly commendable.”
Matawalle said that “the administration of President Bola Tinubu is doing everything possible to support military operations to effectively and efficiently convert insurgency and other forms of criminality across the country.”
