Three die, others injured in Lagos multiple road crashes

In a series of road accidents yesterday, three individuals lost their lives while several others suffered injuries in various parts of Lagos State. The first incident involved an oil tanker fully loaded with diesel that collided with multiple commercial vehicles in the Maryland area.

Nosa Okunbor, spokesperson for the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), confirmed the accident and attributed it to brake failure and reckless driving.

A second accident occurred when a truck carrying a 40-foot container crashed into a Mack truck, causing severe injuries to both drivers. This incident was also blamed on brake failure and reckless driving.

Three casualties were reported in these accidents, and they were removed from the scene before LASEMA Response Teams (LRT) arrived. An unspecified number of people were critically injured and taken to various hospitals.
