Lagos State government has warned organisers of charity activities and events in Lagos should not turn tragic saying if, such organisers would be tried for criminal offence.
Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr Gbenga Omotoso, stated this on Sunday, during a press briefing to underscored the importance of organisers of events where over 250 participants are expected to register with the Lagos State Safety Commission.
Omotoso stated that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is not happy with the tragic news from charity efforts and so would not want such tragic occurrences in Lagos.
He stated that no matter the kind of event, the organisers need to consult the state Safety commission, disclosing that all the emergency agencies have been activated to ensure that no tragic incident happens in Lagos.
