Lagos, FG sign MoU for Green Line rail project

The Lagos State Government and the Federal Ministry of Finance Incorporated have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to kickstart exploratory work on the development of the Green Line rail project.

This was disclosed by the Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Gbenga Omotoso, at a Citizen/Media Stakeholders forum organized recently by the ministry.

According to Omotoso, the 68 km Green Line will connect Marina to the Lekki Free Trade Zone, one of the fastest-growing industrial corridors on the continent.

While highlighting the success of the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu administration, the commissioner revealed that the state completed 36 road projects, including bridges, link bridges, and pedestrian infrastructure, adding that there are over 51 other road projects that are at various stages of development across all five divisions of the state.
