Online broker eToro has issued a notice to traders regarding the upcoming Cardano hard fork.
The Cardano ($ADA) blockchain will undergo a scheduled network upgrade at the start of block 537, on Wednesday January 29, 2025. The upgrade will commence at 21:45 PM UTC. and should last for a short period.
Accessing and trading of Cardano ($ADA) is not expected to be affected unless eToro deems the upgraded network unstable. In such a case, ($ADA) trading will be disabled until the network stabilizes.
Coin transfers of Cardano ($ADA) will be halted during the fork duration. The Wallet Send function will also not be available, from one hour prior to the fork and for the duration.
