Gov. Ademola Adeleke of Osun has commended the concerted efforts of development partners in the state in ensuring growth and development of some communities across the state .
Adeleke gave the commendation on the sideline of the 2023 Community Development Day Celebration at the Osogbo township stadium.
The event has its theme as ” Taking Ownership of our Development ” .
The governor, represented by his Deputy, Mr Kola Adewusi, said that community development bothered on empowerment that should be homegrown with active participation of stakeholders .
“When community members agree to take collective actions on issues that are important to their lives, then they are capable of using local resources to solve local challenges.
