At Ojukwu's 91st posthumous birthday, Ekpa insists on Biafra

In commemoration of the 91st posthumous birthday of late Igbo leader, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, Finland-based Biafra agitator, Simon Ekpa has said that nothing on earth can stop the actualisation of Biafra independence.

Ekpa stated this in a statement on Monday in reaction to a report by an international media titled ‘Biafra’s March towards Independence gains momentum’.

Ojukwu born on November 4, 1933 – 26 November 2011, was a Nigerian military officer and politician who served as President of the Republic of Biafra from 1967 to 1970 during the Nigerian Civil War.

He previously served as military governor of the Eastern Region of Nigeria, which he declared as the independent state of Biafra.

But Nigeria invaded Biafra, sparking the Nigerian Civil War. He died in 2011 at the age of 78 in London, England.
