Nuno Espirito Santo, Nottingham Forest manager, has hailed Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi after he scored in his club’s 3-0 defeat of Wolves on Monday night.
Taiwo scored for the Tricky Tree after coming from the bench, and it was the third goal of the game.
He said that the Nigerian striker’s teammates were happy that he scored that goal, and they celebrated the goal in the dressing room.
He said, “A lot. We were delighted; especially his teammates were delighted for him – the way he celebrated and even in the dressing room,” Santo said after the game.
“We need T. He is taking a while, but we are very happy for him. He deserves everything. He is such a nice guy.”
