The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has said that it arrested 1,077 suspects across various criminal activities and recovered ₦285 million from fraud-related cases in 2024
According to Josephine Adeh, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), the command recorded a total of 1,426 reported cases and arrested 1,077 suspects for various offenses, including kidnapping, armed robbery, car theft, and fraud.
The command noted that the FCT, being Nigeria’s political and business hub, faced significant security challenges at the start of the year.
It also noted that strategic interventions, including robust community policing, intelligence-led operations and collaboration with sister agencies, have led to a 15.1% reduction in crime incidents compared to 2023.
