FG mobilises resources to exit dependency on external health aid

The Federal Government says it has initiated process to mobilise domestic resources to meet the basic health needs of Nigerians following the recent U.S. funding and other donor funding cuts.

The Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Dr Ali Pate stated this in an interview with journalists, on Thursday in Gombe.

Pate said that President Bola Tinubu’s administration was committed to the health and wellbeing of Nigerians, hence adopted proactive steps to bridge the gaps in healthcare service delivery.

He said that the federal government has committed more resources into the health sector in line with the agenda of the administration to prioritise the health of Nigerians.

The minister said Tinubu administration and all the state governors were responsible for the health and wellbeing of the citizens.
