The chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, expressed concern over the unrest in Sudan and urged all Nigerians living in Sudan, especially students, to be calm and security vigilant.
Reports said 200 people have been killed and 1,800 wounded in a weeks-long power struggle that erupted on Saturday between the Sudanese army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) over control of the country.
The National Association of Nigerian Students in Sudan (NANSS) recently appealed to the federal government for the evacuation of its members.
