Former StanChart FXPB head emerges at StoneX 

One of the founders of Standard Chartered’s foreign exchange prime brokerage (FXPB) business has joined US broker-dealer StoneX to lead its non-US prime services business.  

Andrew Sterry has assumed the newly created role of head of international prime brokerage, where he will oversee the expansion of StoneX’s prime business segments in Europe, with the aim of developing a full-service platform for mid-tier hedge funds.   

He joins from Standard Chartered, where he was recently head of the prime services business until April. Sterry joined in 2013, where he led the setup of its FX and equities prime brokerage business alongside Luke Brereton, and to establish its regional over-the-counter derivatives clearing business.  

Prior to this, he was global head of OTC clearing product strategy at Citi.
