Gas flaring reduced by 97% in 10 years, says Chevron

Chevron Nigeria, yesterday, revealed that through investments in gathering and processing of associated gas, routine flaring has been reduced by over 97 per cent in the past 10 years in its operations. 
   
He said this at a training programme on business and finance organised by the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in partnership with Chevron Nigeria at the Airport Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos.

The theme of the training is ‘Driving Nigeria’s Business and Economy.’ Olusegun Aribike, Ademola Irinyemi, Blessing Anaro and Emeka Ugwuanyi, who delivered papers, deliberated on the business and economic climate of the nation, agreed that there is a business to be explored to boost the Nigerian economy through oil and gas and blue economy.
