Group urges  judiciary to ignore calls for boycott of EFCC cases

The Human and Environmental Development Agenda (HEDA Resource Centre) has called on the judiciary not to give any consideration to calls for boycott of cases brought by Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The group urged the judiciary to ignore such ignoble meddling in affairs of law enforcement agencies capable of throwing the country into chaos.

This is in response to calls by some Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and individuals to boycott EFCC cases.

But HEDA, in a statement signed by its Chairman, Olanrewaju Suraju, expressed concern over the calls, saying that such are unconstitutional, against the rule of law and capable of undermining the fight against corruption in Nigeria.
