Hafsoh Killing: Emir of Ilorin urges thorough investigation

Following the weekend killing of Hafsoh Lawal, a final-year student of the Kwara State College of Education, by a Facebook lover, Abdulrahman Bello, in Ilorin, the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has directed all Muslim clerics to prioritise moral lectures in their weekly Friday khutbah (sermon).

He charged clerics in the Ilorin Emirate and beyond to sanitise the system by ensuring that the likes of Abdulrahman Bello are expressly exposed to law enforcement agencies before wreaking more havoc and damaging the lives of innocent persons.

The monarch, who expressed sadness over the gruesome killing of Hafsoh by an acclaimed alfa (cleric), also urged the police to ensure a thorough investigation and serve justice.
