The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has slated November 6 for the conduct of a mock accreditation exercise to test-run facilities for the Ondo governorship election.
The commission said it would be test-running the deployment of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) and result upload to the INEC Result Viewing (IReV) portal for the election using live voters in select locations in the state.
National Commissioner and Chairman of the Information and Voter Education Committee, Sam Olumekun, in a statement on Thursday, revealed that the commission has designated 12 polling units across six Local Government Areas (LGAs)covering the three Senatorial Districts of the state as centers for the mock accreditation.
Olumekun subsequently advised registered voters to come out with their Permanent Voter Cards for the exercise.
