Gov. Abba Kabir -Yusuf of Kano state has approved the promotion of 20,542 primary and junior secondary school teachers and non-teaching staff for the year 2023 and 2024.
The Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Malam Yusuf Kabir, announced this during a meeting with education stakeholders on Monday in Kano.
Kabir said that the governor also approved the implementation of the promotion to the affected staff this October in order to boost their morale.
He urged the beneficiaries to rededicate themselves to their duties so as to reciprocate the government’s good gesture to them and the education system.
