NDLEA sensitises youth corps  members on dangers of drug abuse

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Tincan Island Command recently held a War Against Drug Abuse (WADA) sensitisation event for National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members in Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Council, Lagos.

The event, hosted at the local council secretariat, drew many corps members, who were encouraged to avoid illicit drug trafficking and abuse and focus on making positive contributions to society.

Council Chairman Fatai Adekunle Ayoola, represented by Vice Chairman Lucky Uduikhue, emphasised the need for youth to reject drug abuse and be responsible citizens.

“We cannot afford to lose our young people to drug trafficking and abuse. Together, we must educate and empower our youths to make positive choices and lead healthy, productive lives,” Ayoola remarked.
