The Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG), on Thursday, condemned recent attacks in Borno and Zamfara states, describing them as “senseless acts of violence” that have devastated families and communities across Northern Nigeria.
The group emphasized the need to review security procedures to prevent future mistakes and mitigate the risks to innocent lives in counter-terrorism efforts.
National Coordinator of CNG, Comrade Jamilu Aliyu Charanchu, in a statement, decried the killing of 40 farmers in Borno State by suspected members of the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists in Kukawa Local Government Area.
The group extended condolences to the affected families and state governments, calling the tragedies both devastating and avoidable.
