NSCDC arrests four, seizes 94,000 litres of stolen crude

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has renewed its crackdown on oil theft and pipeline vandalism across the country.

In a statement shared on its official social media platform, the agency commended its Special Intelligence Squad for arresting four individuals in possession of two heavy-duty trucks loaded with 94,000 litres of stolen crude oil.

The statement read: “Oil theft: CG NSCDC orders renewed onslaught against vandals, commends special intelligence squad on arrest of 4 suspects with 2 heavy-duty trucks laden with 94,000 litres of stolen crude.”

Meanwhile, the NSCDC Commandant General, Ahmed Audi, recently emphasised the need to recruit more volunteers into the Corps to strengthen its efforts in safeguarding critical national assets and infrastructure.
