The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has called on journalists in Sokoto State to ensure professionalism and accuracy when reporting eyewitness accounts, particularly on security matters.
The NSCDC Commandant in the state, Mr Usman Alfadarai, made this appeal during a courtesy visit by the leadership of the state Council, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), in his office on Thursday.
Alfadarai emphasised the critical role of journalists in managing sensitive information, especially on security-related activities, to foster unity and societal development.
