Ogun Police dismisses three officers for extorting TASUED student N312,000

Ogun State Police Command has dismissed three of its officers for extorting N312,000 from a student of Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) Ijagun, Kashimao Emmanuel.

The three dismissed officers, attached to Ijebu Ife in Ijebu East local government, in Ogun State are Cpl Idowu Sunday, inspectors Taiwo Kolawole and John Ogbe.

Commissioner of Police in the state, Abiodun Alamutu, said the officers were dismissed after orderly room trial.

The police boss explained that the victim was driving in a brown coloured Toyota Venza car, when he was flagged down about three weeks ago by four armed men, one of whom was wearing police camouflage with others in mufti.

“They demanded for his phone, which he calmly declined. In the process, one of them fired a shot into the air and that was when he complied.
