The Ogun State Police Command announced on Friday that it recovered stolen properties, including vehicles, valued at N106,786,000 in the first three months of 2025. Within the same period, the command arrested 2,141 suspects for various crimes, such as armed robbery, rape, and cultism, while also recovering 217 arms and ammunition.
CSP Omolola Odutola, the command’s spokeswoman, disclosed these details in a statement sent to journalists. She noted that 1,530 suspects were prosecuted, with 62 convictions secured between January and March.
The Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo, credited the success to regular community engagement, stating, “Feedback from the regular engagement with the communities in the state proved so vital to giving bite to the renewed onslaught against crime fighting in the state.”
