Ogun rolls out CNG conversion procedures for vehicles, e-bikes

In a bid to make transportation more affordable and accessible to the citizenry, the Ogun State government has identified procedures for the conversion of vehicles using Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) to Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) powered engines.

The Commissioner for Transportation, Engr. Olugbenga Dairo, stated this in Abeokuta, the state capital, noting that the conversion process would be in three stages: Pre-Inspection of Vehicles by Vehicle Inspection Services (VIS) in conjunction with the conversion centre technicians, Approval for Computerised Vehicle Inspection, as well as Conversion and Certification by the Conversion Manager and on-site.

The commissioner added that there were two conversion centres and three gas refilling stations available in the state, which members of the public could visit for the successful conversion of their vehicles.
