The Obidient Movement has said the news of the demise of the chieftain of the Pan Yoruba Socio-political Organisation, Afenifere, Pa Ayo Adebanjo, “struck us like a cyclone, still in sadness and great shock.”
In a statement, the National Coordinator, Yunusa Tanko, described Adebanjo as one of the pillars that the expectant New Nigeria is standing on.
He said Adebanjo’s legacies etched his name on the annals of history as a great countryman, with indelible proofs of patriotism and heroism.
He said Adebanjo will forever be remembered as that selfless leader who sacrificed his lifetime as an upholder and proponent of true democracy and the Rule of Law, adding that his commitment and steadfastness in leadership craftsmanship are reflected in the monumental achievement of the Afenifere organisation.
