Police accuse political parties of fuelling thuggery in Kano

Commissioner of Police in Kano, Salman Dogo, yesterday, accused political parties of orchestrating thuggery and killings in the state.

According to Dogo, unless the political actors stop blame games, it may be difficult to sustain enduring stability in the state.

The police boss was reacting during the end of year press briefing at the Bompai Command headquarters to a question on the security threat posed by thugs and other related criminals in Kano.

Dogo said the police strategic measures being deployed to check political thuggery include kinetic and non-kinetic approaches.

By kinetic measure, the CP said the police was not resting on its oars from deploying maximum force to arrest, detain and prosecute suspected political thugs.
