The Police in Ogun State have arrested 1,530 suspects, charged 1,345 to court, prosecuted 1,530 and secured 62 convictions in the first quarter of 2025.
Those arrested are 42 armed robbers, five kidnappers and 43 sexual offenders.
According to the police, six people were killed, 40 arms, 177 ammunition and 26 vehicles were recovered, while N106,786,000 value of property was recovered within the time under review.
The spokesperson for the command, CSP Omolola Odutola, who disclosed this in a statement yesterday, said the command recorded a noticeable reduction in crime rate during the first quarter.
According to her, available records show that while the command contended with a spike in overall criminal activities in February, there was a noticeable decline in the number of cases investigated and prosecuted in March.
