The FCT Police Command has apprehended several suspects, including a fake soldier, his accomplice, and members of a notorious armed robbery syndicate, known as “One-Chance,” operating in Abuja.
Among those arrested is Moses Daniel, held for alleged fraud, and Emmanuel Linus, who was caught impersonating a Nigerian Army officer by wearing full military camouflage to commit crimes.
According to the FCT Commissioner of Police, Tunji Disu, Linus was arrested on November 30 in full Nigerian Army attire and presented a fake military ID card listing December 20, 2024, as his date of birth, raising immediate suspicions.
“Further intelligence gathered revealed that Linus is allegedly part of a criminal syndicate that defrauds unsuspecting victims by purchasing goods and services with fake bank alerts,” said Mr. Disu.
