The Adamawa Police Command says it has begun the training of the first batch of 85 investigators and prosecutors across Area Commands, Divisional Headquarters, and all the investigative departments of the command.
Speaking at the formal opening of the five-day capacity building workshop, the Commissioner of Police, Morris Dankombo, said the training was organized in collaboration with the state Ministry of Justice to strengthen the justice sector.
He said that the training came at the right time when the Inspector-General of Police was trying to reposition the investigation department by ensuring that all the personnel posted to Criminal Investigation Department were properly trained in investigation, prosecution and crime detection.
