A combined security agency in Imo State, on Monday, raided forests in the state, arresting eight suspects following reports of kidnappers on the prowl, terrorizing residents
Police spokesperson, Henry Okoye, who disclosed this in the evening, said the combing exercise took place within Irete, Avu, Okuku, Ihiagwa, and Obinze, all in Owerri West local council, while another area in Ngor Opkala, and other locations were also, raided with results.
Okoye said: “In a sustained effort to rid Imo State of criminal elements, the Imo State Police Command, in synergy with other security agencies and local vigilante groups, has intensified operations in identified criminal hideouts across the state.
