South-South PDP lifts George Turnah's suspension

The leadership of the South-South Zonal Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has lifted the suspension earlier imposed on the South-South Zonal Acting Secretary of the party, Barr. George Turnah, by the Bayelsa State Working Committee of the PDP on grounds of alleged misconduct.

It could be recalled that the Bayelsa State Working Committee of the PDP, led by the State Chairman, Mr. Solomon Aguana, and other executive members, announced the suspension of George Turnah over the weekend.

Not satisfied with Turnah’s suspension, the PDP Ward executive members of Ogbia Ward-9 in Ogbia Local Government Area, where George Turnah hails from, held a press conference on Monday condemning the suspension as illegal.

They also threatened to leave the PDP in droves if the suspension was not reversed.
