St. Gregory’s College, Obalende, Lagos, has emerged winner of this year’s Helmbridge Science Challenge. It defeated The SMAC College, Coker, and WhiteSands School, Lekki, who emerged and second runners-up, to lift the trophy for the second consecutive year.
The Helmbridge Science Challenge, a flagship initiative of the Educational Cooperation Society, has impacted boys’ education in Lagos for over four decades.
The competition is a six-week quiz contest, where students are tested in key subjects-Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and General Knowledge. Each team member faces questions individually, showcasing their strengths and contributing to their team’s overall performance.
The competition is focused on helping young academics embrace the analytically diverse nature of the sciences, and brew a spirit of healthy competition and sportsmanship.
