Stampede deaths trigger political blame game as FG defends Tinubu’s reforms

Accusing fingers were pointed at President Bola Tinubu and the policies of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) government yesterday, as critics claimed they were responsible for the recent deadly stampedes that caused the death of dozens across the country.

The Federal Government, through Minister of Information and National Orientation Mohammed Idris, however, appealed to politicians and stakeholders to desist from politicising the incidents, stating that they were not linked to President Tinubu’s economic reforms.
