The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), says it has inaugurated a new 100 Mega Volt Ampree (MVA) power transformer at its Dan Agundi Transmission Substation in Kano State.
Mrs Ndidi Mbah, TCN’s General Manager, Public Affairs said this in a statement in Abuja on Friday.
She said 132/33 Kilo Volt (KV) transformer was also inaugurated at the transmission sub-station.
Mbah said that the inauguration of the transformers would boost the capacity of the Dan Agundi transmission substation by 80 Megawatts (MW), thus, providing a vital increase in power supply capability.
“Procured under the TCN-World Bank power project, the transformer, which has been delivered early this year to the substation, was installed by a TCN contractor.
