Teleperformance begins probe into Nigerian employee's controversial death

Teleperformance, a subsidiary of TikTok, has announced the launch of an investigation into the company’s operations in its Kenyan office following the death of Ladi Anzaki Olubunmi, a Nigerian employee.

On Tuesday, The Guardian reported Olubunmi’s death, detailing allegations against Teleperformance made by her colleagues.

A colleague, who pleaded anonymity, said the company denied Olubunmi leave days and a work permit despite multiple pleas.

The colleague also stated that Teleperformance failed to check on her when she was absent from the office on March 5. She was later discovered dead in her apartment in Lower Kabete, Kenya, when a colleague visited her residence.
