‘The Guardian’ correspondent wins Media Award of the Year

Cornelius Essen, a correspondent for The Guardian Newspaper, has been recognised for his outstanding contributions to the property, environment, and housing sectors in Nigeria.

He was recently honoured with the Media Award of the Year at the 7th Nigeria Affordable Housing Finance Innovation Summit & Expo (NAHFIS).

The award, presented by the summit’s convener, Saheed K.Yemi Adelakan, acknowledges Essen’s decade-long commitment to reporting on these crucial sectors.

Adelakan also announced awardees in the following categories: “Leadership Award: Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan, Dr. (Mrs.) Hanatu Adamu Fika, Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, Binta L.
