A mathematics student of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), Kazeem Sanusi, has set a new world book record in Longest Mathematics Lesson’.
He presented a mathematics lecture for 31 hours, 42 minutes, and 54 seconds to achieve the feat.
Kazeem smashed the previous record of 26 hours of non-stop lessons.
The groundbreaking event by the 400-level mathematics student was witnessed by representatives of the Guinness World Record.
UNILORIN spokesperson, Kunle Akogun, in a statement, said Kazeem performed the feat to the cheers of a captivated audience led by the University Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Wahab Egbewole, SAN.
According to him, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Management Services), Prof. Adegboyega Fawole; the Registrar, Mr. Mansur Alfanla; the Dean of Physical Sciences, Prof. Abdullahi Alafara Baba; the Ag Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Alex Akanmu, and the Student Union President, Comrade Victor Agezeh, among others were also in attendance.
